He is, as a teacher, always striving to achieve a students’ maximum potential considering their creative capacities. He strives to introduce the students to styles that give them a broader perspective on what music can offer them in their lives.

As organiser and guardian of the objective of the Stichtingen Gitaarsalon (Guitarfestival Enkhuizen) and Guitar Canon, he is closely involved with the coordination of these internationally operating guitar platforms.
His finished education of Classical Music and two years of Improvised Music at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (CvA), two years of flamenco with Eric Vaarzon Morel accompanied with various masterclasses, made Pieter Nanne into an experienced guitarist. With all these different approaches, he can finally tell his story on this unruly but oh so loving instrument, or as he says: ‘you have to work hard and sacrifice even more, but then you will receive something in return.’
